Application Procedure:
To assure best results, the parts to be treated should be thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, oils, and grease with an appropriate weld cleaning solution prior to treatment with Weld Wizard 9700 chemical solution. If thorough cleaning is not possible during use in the field, wipe the surface free of dirt and oils prior to application.
All equipment, mixers, applicators or pumps should be clean and dry prior to using this weld cleaning chemical.
Prior to use, mix thoroughly by shaking or stirring. Weld Wizard 9700 weld cleaning chemical should be applied sparingly to the surface to be treated or to a cloth, wipe, or paper towel. Rub the surface with gentle pressure using the cloth, wipe, or paper towel for a period sufficient to remove all weld discolorations and other scale or blemishes. Rub in the same direction as any existing grain if possible. Coverage is approximately 24 feet of weld per fluid ounce.
Wipe and rinse the surface thoroughly with clean water and dry completely in air or proceed with other treatments (e.g., passivation using CitriSurf 2210) to obtain the desired results. Drying can be accelerated by use of a hot air blower (i.e. hair dryer), clean cloth, or other drying medium. Repeat process with Weld Wizard cleaning products if needed to obtain desired results.
Notes on Use:
Although very safe in normal use, Weld Wizard 9700 is an Alkyl Aryl Amine Sulfonate based material containing abrasive particles, and as such it may cause irritation to exposed surfaces of the body. See Safety Data Sheet before using this material.
